Welcome to Bubbly and Bright Event Planning. My name is Katherine “Katie” Ference. I am a North Carolina native who adores weddings, events, and florals. So far, these three passions have brought me to all ends of North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, New York, Colorado, and more.
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from North Carolina State University. I hold certifications in Wedding Planning, Event Planning, Travel Planning, and Floristry. Currently, I live and work out of Apex, with my wonderful husband and our two very chatty cats named Maya and Ember. In my free time, I enjoy mini golf, video games, hockey (Go Canes!), and binging terrible reality television.
Prior to working in the events field, I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. Working as an EMT has taught me a great deal about working with others, patience, and kindness, all things that I take with me into this wonderful career field. Clients have told me I have a very calming presence, which I attribute to my experience on the ambulance. My mantra has become; calm, kind, creative problem solving.
At Bubbly and Bright Event Design, I strive to create your dream event. Whether that be a wedding or a pet’s birthday, I will be here to help design every step of the way. With a large inventory of rentals and florals at our disposal, your event is sure to be stunning. Those moments of happiness, excitement, and nostalgia make a celebration, a celebration.
As a designer and florist, I love seeing the beauty and happiness each occasion can bring out in those celebrating. The two and a half years of planning experience I have under my belt have helped me in my design career immensely.
